In a Persian Market

 

Albert William Ketèlbey (August 9, 1875 – November 26, 1959) was an English composer, conductor, and pianist. In this music, Ketèlbey tells the story of a busy Baghdad market in 1920. There are 10 fun scenes:

1. The camel drivers arrive slowly.

2. The beggars ask for coins.

3. A beautiful princess appears.

4. The jugglers show their tricks.

5. The snake charmers play with snakes.

6. The Caliph walks through the market.

7. The beggars shout again.

8. The princess gets ready to leave.

9. The camel drivers continue their journey.

10. The market becomes quiet.
